Austria's Job Seeker Visa allows highly qualified third-country nationals to search for employment in Austria. Based on the Red-White-Red Card points system, applicants must score at least 70 points based on qualifications, work experience, language skills, and age. Upon finding qualifying employment, holders can apply for the Red-White-Red Card work permit.

Requirements
  • University degree (Bachelor's or higher) or comparable qualification
  • Minimum 70 points under Red-White-Red Card criteria
  • Points awarded for: qualifications (up to 30 pts), work experience (up to 20 pts), language skills German/English (up to 15 pts), age under 35 (up to 20 pts), previous study in Austria (up to 10 pts)
  • Proof of sufficient funds for stay
  • Valid passport
  • Health insurance covering Austria
  • Proof of accommodation

  • Cannot work during job search period
  • Must find qualifying employment within 6 months
  • Job offer must meet minimum salary threshold for Red-White-Red Card
  • Subject to annual quotas
